As a graduate of the IMX program, I always enjoy looking back at my time at ESB which is filled with unforgettable experiences. I am really grateful for the network I built, the friendships I made and for the opportunities created thanks to the strong support and spirit within the student and alumni community.I am looking forward to now being part of the ESB Alumni team and having the opportunity to give back to ESB. In specific, I am supporting the creation of our Professional Mentoring Program that is further strengthening our ESB alumni network by enabling professional connections across experience levels and study programs.

My passion for diverse cultures, languages and international business led me to ESB, where I graduated with a Bachelor in International Management (IMX). Studying at ESB encouraged me to pursue life-long learning and reach for ambitious goals, together with and inspired by friends and ESB alumni. During my studies, I particularly enjoyed the open, very active and forward-thinking dynamics in the classroom as well as the ESB spirit and unforgettable memories with new life-long friends outside the classroom. My willingness to share my own marvellous experiences at ESB as well as stories about activities and experiences of ESB alumni and students, got me engaged at Europolitan and as Stammtisch coordinator. In my consecutive studies and while travelling, I realised that not many alumni networks are as active and encouraging as the ESB alumni network. Not only did I meet up with ESB friends, got travel and social engagement inspiration, but I also gained valuable tips and support from the alumni network regarding jobs, work experiences and work life. My motivation is to support the ESB alumni association to sustain and foster this existing international network and the ESB spirit, (re-)connecting ESB alumni and students and ESB friends worldwide and to share their stories and experiences.

After my bachelor's degree in International Logistics Management at ESB Business School and a master program in International Management I started my career at an international lean management consulting company.
My motivation to engage as a board member, particularly recruiting, at ESB Alumni e.V. is that I want to increase the number of WING students in our association. I am convinced that all students can benefit from one of the largest alumni networks in Germany. With our events and regular tables we connect alumni with students.

When I started studying at ESB Business School I was very surprised by the community-like atmosphere, something I hadn't experienced in law school where you typically have 300 students per year. While I was studying at ESB, I met a few alumni, so when I got my first job with the MBA degree and was moving to a mid-size German town, it was natural to look out for other alumni in the area and I have met so many of them in all the places I worked in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. My motivation is to make the international network stronger. That's why I work as an editor for the Europolitan to discover all the brilliant careers and companies where our alumni are and make them known in our network.

Looking back at my time at ESB, it has certainly been one of the most exciting and rewarding time periods. Participating in a broad range of initiatives, ranging from WHU Euromasters to the National Model United Nations, I met many inspiring fellow students and made some of my best friends. Through my engagement with ESB alumni, I would like to work towards maintaining these connections, creating new ones and contributing to the unique environment at ESB.

Hello dear Alumni, networking is the key.
As co-founder of the first Alumni organization in the 80ties and repeated Co-founder of the current ESB Reutlingen Alumni e.V. I appreciate the networking experience as well as the exchange between student members and old boys. In the ESB Alumni board I am acting as „Contact Officer“ to the ESB advisory board. My personal gentle hint to all alumni: Stay cool, work hard, don`t forget to live. And please, be curious until the end of your life time.

One of the things I enjoyed the most about my time at ESB was the strong spirit within the student community. I made great friends and had the pleasure to be part of IB Vision, NMUN and many other initiatives. The ESB alumni association gives me the opportunity to continue living that spirit, but also to get to know many more inspiring alumni of various study programs and all generations. Currently, I am taking care of Alumni Benefits in the alumni association. In this role, I am looking for interesting cooperations with corporate partners, which generate added value for you – our members!

As a proud graduate of ESB Business School, it feels very natural to keep giving back to a community that has offered me countless opportunities during the years. During my studies, I acted as a student representative and built strong relationships with people in and from ESB, which last long beyond leaving Reutlingen. Recently moved to a new city, I was meeting up with fellow graduates and we realized that there was no specific forum for ESB alumnae to interact and network professionally. By establishing the ESB Women's Club I combine a personal passion for female development with the importance of networking, that already ESB has taught me. I am convinced that creating this special place for women inside ESB alumni e.V. adds further value to our already great association.

From the very first day I joined the ESB, I was enamored with the supporting and encouraging atmosphere on campus. I consider the ESB as a family and as a good family member I want to take responsibility, take care and be there for my fellow students in any way possible. As a student member of the ESB Alumni (IB 2022), I wanted to get a head start on life after the ESB by loading between the student world and the professional world. Since I am not a “traditional “ student - having already earned a first bachelor degree over 20 years ago and having worked as a police officer in Belgium for 18 years after that - I feel I am uniquely positioned to contribute to the Alumni network even while being a student and to absorb as much knowledge as possible from its lovely members. I am working with the Board and my fellow students on the Alumni4Students program as I know firsthand the importance of mentors, role models and networking.

I am currently studying M.Sc. International Business Development. From day 1, social engagement is not just empty talk at ESB, it is truly embodied on campus. After the first weeks as a member of the ESB team, I am impressed by how ambitious people who work on one project are- make ESB Alumni e.V. better each day. This platform is not only an outstanding opportunity for former students, but also for student on campus like me. For one thing, contributing valuable ideas to the ESB team and for another, getting in touch with alumni and building up a sustainable network, convinced me to actively engage myself. I am supporting the student services to organize great events and work on new projects.

„Living the spirit to the fullest during my time in Reutlingen was definitely what I enjoyed the most about ESB. Today, more than ever I highliy appreciate meeting fellow ESB Alumni and current students. This is also why I highly enjoy working with the Alumni Resort on campus.

After finishing my Masters I started working as Sales representative in a start up in Berlin. Not only in my job I realise more and more that having good friends and people with a good network is worth so much more than good Excel and PowerPoint skills. So go out, meet people who eventually become friends and enjoy yourselfs. And never forget, the currency of networking is not greed but generosity.“

I'm currently studying International Management, being one of the first students in the newly formed German-Brazilian program of the Double Degree. Even though I'm physically thousands of miles away from Reutlingen, the community support and unique ESB spirit are incredibly noticeable. This is why I'm extremely lucky to engage even more with ESB Alumni from all different generations, study programs and countries. Furthermore, I'm able to combine my passion for redacting and writing with learning first hand about the inspiring topics that currently move our community. Being now part of the editors' team of the Europolitan, I'm motivated to further contribute in strengthening this unique network and spreading the spirit.

Especially after finishing the IMX program, I realized how lucky we are as ESB Alumni to have such a great community of bright minds and strong supporters around us. Not only do we leave ESB with a lot of friends we are sharing unforgettable memories with but also have the option to continuously meet new people who live the same ESB spirit. As part of the ESB Alumni Club team, my goal is to foster relationships and create new connections among different experience levels and study programs. This is why I am particularly looking forward to building up the Mentorship for Professionals program.

For me, ESB was more than just studies - it was a place to get engaged, meet interesting fellow students, get inspired by ESB Alumni, and live through meaningful experiences.
Alumni are an integral part of the experience as they often serve as role models for active students to share insights and career paths but also help out with personal development, lectures etc..

At ESB Alumni e.V., I want to give back to the school and students while enjoying the company of engaged alumni.
